Drag racing fans will once again have the opportunity to experience the thrills and sounds of Professional Drag Racing when the IHRA Nitro Jam Tour comes to State Capitol Raceway for the Mardi Gras Nationals March 13^th & 14^th.

 

Feature classes will include, Amsoil Funny Car, U S Bounty Hunters Pro Stock, Pro Mods, Cajun Outlaw Pro Mods, Nitro Harley, Jet Dragsters and exhibition runs by the Fire Force Jet powered fire truck.

 

Sportsman classes will feature Quick 16, Top Doorslammers, Box ET, No Box ET, as well as Beginners, Advanced and Masters Junior Dragsters.

 

Participant gates will open at 10 AM on Friday March 13^th with tech inspections starting at 1 PM. There will be test and tune available for Sportsman starting at 3:30 and will be open until 11:00 PM. Pre-Race Ceremony for the Pro Show will be at 4:50 PM with Round one Pro Qualifying to go at 5:00 PM. Round two for the Pro show will start at 7 PM.
